Cloud Hosting

So here is the thing, you are a newbie to the whole Cloud Hosting game. Maybe you’re a professional blogger just getting his or her start commenting on your given niche of the world (we hope you blog about delicious cakes. We love cakes.) or maybe you are a marketing manager of a newly formed online seller of sports goods. Either way, whatever you do online, you have decided to enter the Cloud Computing (Cloud Hosting) sphere, because you know without a solidly built website – without an excellent blogging platform or ecommerce website – your hopes of online dominance are going to fail worse than an asteroid attempting to knock Jupiter off its orbital path. Due to this, let’s take some time to talk about what you can use Cloud Hosting for.

You Love Blogging? So do we. Blog on, Mr. Blogger

In today’s Internet-centric world, people in the know understand that blogging is much more than simply stating your thoughts to the world on the most current political crisis or on what ingredients go into creating a succulent chocolate cake. Bloggers understand, beyond getting their thoughts and desires out to the world, that blogging is a way to attract and keep ad revenue coming into your website. Through various means and tactics (SEO, Internal Site Structure, Keyword Research/Analysis) which can be boiled into targeting a key demographic, professional bloggers can attract and keep ad revenue staying and playing on their site. For this reason, because Solar VPS knows you have a voice which likes to make money, we offer our SolarSystem star travelers multiple blogging platforms like WordPress, Joomla and Drupal. In addition we offer these lesser known blogging platforms; b2evolutions, Chyrp, DotClear, EggBlog, Nucelous, Open Blog, PivotX, Pixie, Serendipity and Textpattern. It should be noted, we offer all of these applications as one-click installs. We do this to make your life as a web hosting guru that much easier. So, the first use for your Windows or Linux Cloud Virtual Private Server: Blogging. Continue

SolarRay Monitoring

Captain’s Log, Stardate 8.4.12:

Greetings and salutations from the communications deck of SolarVPS. Captain Jean-Luc Picard has taken off to some far reaching galaxy beyond the stars and has left the members of the SolarVPS Communications Deck in charge of all future Captain’s Log entries. Who knows when his shiny bald head will be back. With his departure, we have been sorting through log entries he has been meaning to write. This has led us to a curiously interesting entry titled “SolarRay Monitoring.”

We had to ask around but when we finally tracked down Captain Riker he filled us in on what SolarRay Monitoring is.

SolarRay Monitoring is an exclusive SolarVPS technology crafted in secret with years of acquired knowledge and gathered experience. SolarRay Monitoring is SolarVPS’s answer to unexpected and protracted VPS downtime. HostingCon Interview with Solar VPS COO Ross Brouse

At HostingCon 2012 in Boston,’s Dave Price took some time to interview Solar VPS COO Ross Brouse. In the interview Ross speaks about the services we provide to our customer base, how we address customer concerns and needs and how virtualized infrastructures benefit  customers in terms of savings (physical space and CAPEX). Moreover the interview covers the benefits of owning our own datacenter and why customers should look at more than just the “pricing game” when choosing a VPS provider.
