» Linux System Administrator

FortressITX / DedicatedNOW is looking to increase our NOS (Nerds on Site) count. We are currently looking for a Linux System Administrator to add to our staff. The positions are on-site at our Clifton, NJ Facility. Applicant would primarily be responsible for providing support to customers via phone and email as well as building and deploying new servers for orders. Salaries are negotiable based on experience. The shifts are 12 hours a day with 3 days on, 3 days off and 2 days on, 2 days off.Requirements:
  • Ability to research solutions to problems on his or her own using common support channels (Google, mailing lists, forums, etc.)
  • In-depth experience with Linux (Redhat and Debian variants) and FreeBSD
  • Expert experience: Apache (1.x, 2.x) / PHP (4.x, 5.x) / MySQL (4.x, 5.x) / Bind / Exim

» Account Executive

The FortressITX Account Executive is responsible for uncovering opportunities to penetrate net new accounts within an assigned territory or vertical. The primary focus of the Account Executive is to develop a strong presence in a competitive landscape (ie: Cloud, ITO, Hosted Services, Colocation solution) while achieving profitability and performance standards.(Clifton, NJ for NY Metro area)Position Summary:
  • Prospects on a continual basis to identify, qualify, and close high quality net new business.
    • Achieve or exceed monthly revenue targets to achieve FortressITX profitability.
    • Ensure and maintain minimum funnel goals are met or exceeded.
    • Strategically leads internal resources to develop and execute successful pursuit plan.
Essential duties:
  • Lead all prospecting and sales-related activities within an assigned territory of prospective Enterprise accounts to grow net new revenue and new bookings.
  • Utilize professional networks, relationships within customers, and other industry forums to create new opportunities/prospects.
  • Build insightful and influential champions and coaches within accounts to help identify and qualify opportunities in complex environments.

We’re looking for a talented, full-stack LAMP developer who is ready to take ownership of entire features in our PHP code base.
