Today we announced the release of the official Solar VPS SolarSystem Knowledgebase. The knowledgebase is a compendium of web hosting knowledge. With how to articles on everything from Apache, My SQl, CentOS, Debian etc. to video tutorials covering how to properly migrate data from your old cPanel to your new cPanel, the SolarSystem knowledgebase, our Information Deck, will serve as both an information portal for our users and the beginnings of a true Solar VPS community in which users can interact with articles and tutorials we post and interact with each other concerning posted or non posted articles & tutorials. In essence we are working to turn the SolarSystem Information Dock into a true social community. But before that happens, we want to take a moment to talk about our custom made SolarSystem Video Tutorials.
SolarSystem Video Tutorials
The SolarSystem video tutorials, unlike the branded video tutorials which cover general Cloud VPS web hosting issues, speak to SolarSystem specific issues. From creating a new Cloud VPS inside the SolarSystem store, to learning about how assign contact roles for billing purposes inside the SolarSystem, to learning how to properly deploy a SolarSystem one-click install application, the SolarSystem video tutorials are meant to specifically educate consumers about the in’s and out’s of how to use the SolarSystem. The full list of the videos can be found by following this link, SolarSystem Cloud VPS Tutorials.
It has to be noted: As of right now, there are 55 different Cloud VPS SolarSystem tutorials. This list of 55 tutorials will continue to grow as we release more products and as the SolarSystem consumer base weighs in on what aspects of the SolarSystem they think needs more illumination. We aim to use our SolarSystem tutorials as a reflection of what you, our consumers, want.
To display our SolarSystem Video Tutorials we installed FlowPlayer – an excellent on page video player. FlowPlayer allows the user to fully control how the video in question is viewed. From audio controls, to start/stop/pause/rewind/fast forward to the ability of the player to fully expand to the proportions of your screen, FlowPlayer allows users to easily view SolarSystem tutorials.
The last thing we want to mention about the tutorial videos, along with the entire SolarSystem Information Dock, is the “Leave a Reply” dialogue box. We included the box to hear your feedback on the articles and videos, but more importantly A) as a way for you to both tell us what articles/tutorial videos you want us to produce and B) as a way for SolarSystem consumers to interact with one another. Again, our knowledgebase will serve as the begining of a true Solar VPS SolarSystem Community – call it the Solarverse. With additional customer facing social interaction tools in the pipeline, our knowledgebase and the “Leave a Reply” dialogue box will serve as the start of a true Solarverse.
