I’m sitting here at Newark Liberty International Airport killing a couple of hours before my flight leaves so I thought I would make a blog update! It’s been a couple of weeks since I added to the blog. My wife and I had a new baby 3 weeks ago so we’ve had our hands full with feedings, burpings ( I think I just coined this phrase ) and changing diapers. We’ve also had a house full of family, countless trips to the airport and massive amounts of dishes to wash. Needless to say, I’ve been busy.
While I’ve been dealing with my new family addition, some great new things have been happening. I won’t get too much into it now but suffice to say, we’re launching new UK servers this next week and we’ve also received a large shipment of new hardware that we will be deploying to New Jersey and Los Angeles for both Solar VPS and JVDS. This new shipment of hardware is going to allow us to finally start offering Windows 2008 Virtuozzo VPS! More on that later as well.
So the point of this entry is to let you know that we are on our way to HostingCon. If anyone is not familiar with HostingCon, it is the largest gathering of hosted service companies in the world. Essentially, we all get together, network and embark on new business ventures. Actually, we basically just drink and party! Hey, even us IT people need to step away from the computer now and then. Both myself and our Vice President Douglas Hazard are attending this year. Doug will be at HostingCon representing Solar VPS while I will be working the booth with our sister company DedicatedNOW to help them with their Hosted Exchange launch.
If you will be at HostingCon, please feel free to find Douglas Hazard. He will be roaming the show floor wearing a black Solar VPS polo ( orange solar vps logo ). We have some great deals going for anyone who will be attending HostingCon so please find Douglas for more info. If you just want to hang out and have some drinks, find me and we’ll set something up. I will certainly be happy to buy a drink for any Solar VPS customer who finds me!
More HostingCon information to come in the next day or two. Will include pics!
